Hello Cheekies,
So I think eye shadow is a key when doing make up. It brings the whole look together but most importantly it brings out one of the prettiest features on any person, the eyes. The eyes are the feature that a person first looks at when meeting someone. Playing with eye shadows that compliment your eyes can make you eyes pop! Me personally I always look at peoples eyes first just because I think every color or shade or mixtures of colors are just so pretty. That being said I like to my eye shadow everyday and in doing so I figured out what shadow to use for what event. I want to show you two of my favorites. A casual with a twist and a classic smoky eye.
1)Funky Casual
I took my usual sparkly beige color and brushed the top of my lid and put a tad darker beige in the outer corner to ad a tad bit of definition to my eyes. I took some charcoal liner and lightly lined my upper lid. On my bottom lid. I took green liquid liner and started on the outer corner and came one thirds of the way in. I took my blue liquid liner and did the mid part and then I wet the tip of my eye shadow brush and dipped it in purple eye shadow to do the inner corners This turns a natural eye into something a bit more playful and fun. Making this be the focal point of the make up, will surely bring attention to the most beautiful feature of the face. This is especially good for spring and summer. You can also do different colors on the bottom. This would be a good look to do for a day out on the town with friends.
2) A bit Smokey for a Night Out
I love the smokey eye look, but me personally I just cant seem to pull off the really dark smokey so I do a lighter smokey. I use golds and light browns instead of darkbrowns and blacks. I took a champagne color and did the inner part of my eye and used a dark beige for the mid part and a rich brown on the outer corners. I took a blending brush and blended the color causing the smokey effect. I took black liquid liner and did a decent sized line on the top lash line and did a very light line starting from the outer corner of my bottom lash line to about the middle of the bottom lashes. I'd probably wear this look on a night out on the town with friends, or a fancy event. I think the smokey eye is a timeless classy yet playful look.
So I showed you two of my favorite ways to wear my eye shadows. I hope this gave you some ideas for your eye shadow.
