Ombre Hair Journey

Hello Cheekies!

Its Sam, I wanted to share a little story with you lovely people about my ombre hair journey. So back in Early November I did a sort of Fire truck red Ombre
Well in about mid December the red had faded to an oragney brown which i expected but I didnt want to pay $50 to get it re colored so in January I finally to decided to do it my self.
I had decided to do a pink ombre that Kylie was nice enough to do for me.

Well after five weeks the pink washed out and well I had that somewhat orange color again and i was not feeling that color at all. So i decided hey why not do something different. I decided to do teal. So I bought Splat teal hair color expecting it to turn out really pretty cause teal hair is so pretttyyy. So I bleached my hair washed it out dried it and then put the color in and I left it in for a long time since my hair takes a long time for color to take. Well I washed it out and dried it and noticed that it didnt take what so ever. Some parts where green, some parts teal, and some parts brown which didnt make sense but whatever. I was so disappointed that it didnt work. So i applied the teal color one more time just hoping that another colour layer would work. Nope I was wrong....I didnt take a picture but imagine the wicked witches face color and that was my hair color. By this time it was 12 am. and well i was pretty annoyed with it so i went to bed. The next morning i went to walmart and bought a regular hair dye kit which was a red color and I dyed it that day. Yeah i'm aware that bleaching my hair than two teal applications and this read on top of that is not good for my hair but it was really bad with the blue so cut me a break. I dyed my hair the red color and i was very pleased with it.
You can see it here. It looked good well the blue came back to haunt me. I washed my hair as normal with my color protecting shampoo and conditioner and well after three washes the Blue and red decided to turn some large spots of my hair freakin GRAY!!!! GRAY! im too young to gray.I was so horrified with it so i went to the store and at this time i was at my dads house and the towns pharamacy was closed so i went to Dollar General and grabbed the first redish color i saw which was a burgundy purple color which is really pretty.

Since it was a little box i grabbed two cause i have long thick hair and well one box usually isnt enough, and thank goodness it was three dollars a box  cause i only had ten on me. So right when i got to my dads house i dyed it again....so including the double teal application, the bleaching, the red color and this color, in total i died my hair five times in a week, i'm surprised it didnt fall out!! Well Thankfully my hair took to this color and i only used one box and well this is how it looks.

My hair looks like its the same color but its still ombred and if you look hard enough you can see the tone difference   i think you will be able to see it after a few washes. But i love the plum burgundy color a whole lot and i half way contemplated just doing my whole head this color since i have an extra box but i decided to just wash it a few times and see how i like it then.
so yeah thats my ombre journey.

I will never try any color outside the reds/pinks/plum colors again it was too traumatic.
