Ombre Hair Journey

Hello Cheekies!

Its Sam, I wanted to share a little story with you lovely people about my ombre hair journey. So back in Early November I did a sort of Fire truck red Ombre
Well in about mid December the red had faded to an oragney brown which i expected but I didnt want to pay $50 to get it re colored so in January I finally to decided to do it my self.
I had decided to do a pink ombre that Kylie was nice enough to do for me.

Well after five weeks the pink washed out and well I had that somewhat orange color again and i was not feeling that color at all. So i decided hey why not do something different. I decided to do teal. So I bought Splat teal hair color expecting it to turn out really pretty cause teal hair is so pretttyyy. So I bleached my hair washed it out dried it and then put the color in and I left it in for a long time since my hair takes a long time for color to take. Well I washed it out and dried it and noticed that it didnt take what so ever. Some parts where green, some parts teal, and some parts brown which didnt make sense but whatever. I was so disappointed that it didnt work. So i applied the teal color one more time just hoping that another colour layer would work. Nope I was wrong....I didnt take a picture but imagine the wicked witches face color and that was my hair color. By this time it was 12 am. and well i was pretty annoyed with it so i went to bed. The next morning i went to walmart and bought a regular hair dye kit which was a red color and I dyed it that day. Yeah i'm aware that bleaching my hair than two teal applications and this read on top of that is not good for my hair but it was really bad with the blue so cut me a break. I dyed my hair the red color and i was very pleased with it.
You can see it here. It looked good well the blue came back to haunt me. I washed my hair as normal with my color protecting shampoo and conditioner and well after three washes the Blue and red decided to turn some large spots of my hair freakin GRAY!!!! GRAY! im too young to gray.I was so horrified with it so i went to the store and at this time i was at my dads house and the towns pharamacy was closed so i went to Dollar General and grabbed the first redish color i saw which was a burgundy purple color which is really pretty.

Since it was a little box i grabbed two cause i have long thick hair and well one box usually isnt enough, and thank goodness it was three dollars a box  cause i only had ten on me. So right when i got to my dads house i dyed it again....so including the double teal application, the bleaching, the red color and this color, in total i died my hair five times in a week, i'm surprised it didnt fall out!! Well Thankfully my hair took to this color and i only used one box and well this is how it looks.

My hair looks like its the same color but its still ombred and if you look hard enough you can see the tone difference   i think you will be able to see it after a few washes. But i love the plum burgundy color a whole lot and i half way contemplated just doing my whole head this color since i have an extra box but i decided to just wash it a few times and see how i like it then.
so yeah thats my ombre journey.

I will never try any color outside the reds/pinks/plum colors again it was too traumatic.

New Camera, New Pictures

Hello Cheekies

Sam here, So I bought a new camera the other day off walmart.com. I got an amazing deal on this camera. I got a great case, an SD card and a GE X500 Digital camera Power Series all for the total price of $120 whoop whoop whooop an amazing deal right? This camera takes pictures as amazing as porfessional DSLR cameras as well as it has a million settings I could post several blog posts about settings but I wont. I bought this camera so Kylie and I can share and take amazing pictures or videos to show you lovely people things. So Here are some of the pictures that have been taken over the last two days enjoy!

 " So Goodnight Goodnight"

This is kinda blurry cause I was shivering taking it but I loved how ominous it looked.

"Here Comes the Sun, doo da doo doo"

"Could You make Me a Cup of Tea to Open My Eyes in the Right way"

"You Belong Among the Wild Flowers"

I love the Flower setting that the camera has it makes the Color Pop against the brown. Spring is coming Yayyyyy!!!!! about damn time!

"One Way or Another I'm Gonna Find You"

"And Let Me Kiss You"
I'm dorky I know deal with it!

"Oh Charlie"
This is Charlie my not so mini Mini Doxie! He just turned two and in his spare time he morphs into Dobby From Harry Potter.

Now the Next pictures were just awkward selfies but you can see the camera in them.

You can see its a very wide lens.

I call this my Kermit face.

As you can tell its a really decent size not to big or to small just perfect.
I might add my cheek bones look superb.

So Cheekies those are the first of many pictures to come.
I hope you have a great day!

Cross Shirt and ombre hair

Hello Cheekies,

So I am obsessed with crosses at the moment, and recently got a cross shirt to go with my collection.

This shirt is from H&M, and was $15.
It's a silky material and flows.
The back is longer than the front.

I can't wait to wear this in the summer time!

And if you havn't noticed I went ombre!
I did a more subtle look that isn't to blonde on the bottom or too dark on top.

It was super easy and my mum just used the brush it came with and put the blonde on the bottom.
Thanks mum!
So I would recommend this ombre kit.

Hope you enjoyed:)

Favorite Scents

Hello Cheekies,

It's Kylie and I am sharing some of my favorite scents.

Here are some perfumes, lotions and other beauty products.

Smelling good and fresh can brighten anyones mood:)

The soap is from World Market and is "Avocado & Coconut Milk." It smells so good and doesn't dry your skin out like some soaps.
The perfurmes are Euphoria, which is my favorite perfume at the moment, and the one on the right is "Lace" from Charming Charlie.

Lotions are a must when preventing dry skin. In the winter it is important to put lotion on daily.
The lotion on the top left is "Love Spell" from Victoria's Secret. It's smell is cherry blossom and peach.
The middle lotion has always been a favorite of mine, "Japanese Cherry Blossom," from Bath & Body Works. The last is Vera Wang "Princess," that can be bought in a lotion or perfume.

At the bottom left is from Sephora and can be a shampoo, shower gel or bubble bath. It is
"Black Currant Tart." I tend to use it as a shower gel and it leaves my skin smelling fresh all day.
The product in the middle is for damaged hair or smoothing down friz. It is "Purple Rose Oil." The smell is so refreshing and I wish it was made into a perfume or lotion.
On the right is "Aromatherapy," from Bath & Body Works. It is Eucalyptus Spearmint, it is a relaxing stress relieving body wash.

Hope you enjoyed my favorites:)

Motivational Monday

Hello Cheekies

I know in past posts we have talked about dreams and finding yourself quit a lot. I can't stress how important dreams are. Dreams are those hopes you think about when your day is shitty. Your dreams are who you are. They need to be big enough to scare you shitless. And sometimes the scary thing is going and achieving your dreams by yourself but sometimes you have to but other times you will have one person who wants the same thing, so you and that person can go and achieve it together. Either together or alone achieving your dreams should be the most important thing you ever do... Its either sit and wait for something to happen which from personal experience sucks or go out and do it which is something I need to do.
There is a difference between existing and living. Living is when you go and do everything that you have ever wanted to do and completely and endlessly enjoying life which takes a lot bravery and then there is existing where you sit and hope for a change instead of being the change which brings nothing but saddness, trust me I know. I have thought non stop about this for the longest time and i decided that  I want to live instead of just exist. I realize that i will have a lot of failures but then again I will have a lot of fun and i will succeed in Living which is far more important to me than mundane life like school and jobs and any commitments that keep me from going and doing what I need to do for myself.

You never have to do whatever everyone else is doing. You don't have to conform to a lifestyle just because everyone else is. You need to live a life of what you want. I learned recently that doing what everyone else is doing is killing my spirit. Its not what i want for my life. I kick myself for not realizing my dreams long ago but I know that the time for everything is perfect. Please Please don't do something that you don't want to do because your family did it or your friends did it and you want to keep up that reputation in the family or keep friends. It's not fair to you. No one should make you do something either. That's keeping you from being who you truly are.
If you aren't in love with every aspect in your life its time to change. Everyone deserves happiness, everyone should be happy. Don't be afraid to change your life so you love every minute, you deserve life of happiness and joy and a lot of people forget that.

Please go follow your dreams and make your life so stupidly happy you don't know what to do with yourself.  There needs to be more people going and living instead of existing.

xoxo-Sam

exfoliating face mask

Hello Cheekies

I tried this face mask today and I would like to share it with you because I really enjoyed it.
\this mask is for uneven skin tone and removing dead skin and its all natural! Yay for all natural!

Here is what you will need
1/2 cup of plain oatmeal
5 tbsp of Honey
2 tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar

You mix the ingredients into a bowl until its a smooth. Before you slather on this odd looking concoction be sure you have a nice clean face.
Now take some of the paste and rub it all over your face and let it sit.
It should look like this

If you said "What the hell did I just put on my face" its on right! As you can tell I really didn't like the fact that my face felt gloopy... but as it started to harden....

It Tingled! yes it tingles which I wasn't prepared for. It doesnt hurt but you can feel the apple cider vinegar start working its way into your skin. bye bye uneven skin!!

After about five minutes on it starts to feel really good and relaxing. I enjoyed it but my face started to get stiff which indicated to me that it was time to wash this stuff off.
Now this does come off in chucks so you probably have to clean your sink after but nice soft skin is worth it right?

The way my face felt after was so refreshing and smooth. I loved it. and the fact that I could move my face again.

Now keep in mind your face will not smell like vinegar also you will have a ton of the mask left in your bowl so use it to exfoliate your body while in the shower.

So I encourage you guys to do this mask or any face mask cause everyone needs a little self pampering.

Hello Cheekies

January/February favorite with a twist.

I decided to do something a bit different than the usual post so I hope you like it

Perfect Summer dress

Hello Cheekies,

I am so ready for summer! I'm done with this cold weather.
Summer dresses are so pretty and I can't wait to wear them.

This is one of my favorite summer/ spring dress.
I really like the flower print and the colors together.
This dress flows but it defines the waist with a stretchy belt.
Underneath is built-in black shorts so it's easy to move in.

This dress would be perfect for a walk on the beach with your hair down.
Ugh I really want to go the beach now.
It was from Charlotte Russe for $29.

Bravery

Helloo Cheekies!

So this post was inspired by something Kylie said yesterday.
"Live without fear or doubt...just happiness" -Kylie
Her quote made me realize that the only way to live a life full of happiness is to be brave.

Now we all want things in life. Some go out and get it and some just wait for that thing or moment to come. Well we have to be brave enough to go after those things. We will never truly live by sitting and waiting. We have to be brave enough to follow our own choices. We need to adjust our sails for whats best to get us to our dreams. That means we have to take chances...chances that could lead to failure but also at the same time chances that lead us to greatness.

You will never ever achieve greatness by asking because the people you ask will always tell you it could never happen or your not good enough for it. that is  BULLSHIT! We are great enough for anything! Please dont let anyone tell you that you are not great enough....dont let it crush your dreams. You will regret it. Your greatness is depended on yourself no one else. So stop asking permission!! Be confident in your choices! Be brave!!

Everyone who has inspired you has been brave. That very reason is why you need to be brave  is to influence some one to be brave and get their dreams. Every day you influence some one let that be bravery, kindness, and happiness. Change someones life but most importantly change your life with bravery.

I hope this inspires you to go do something with courage and make mistakes and take chances. I hope this inspires you to live the life you want.

Stay Cheeky Our Loves.

Kylie's Haul

Hello Cheekies,

Kylie here:)
It's funny that me and Sam both went shopping today but not together.
Since Sam shared her purchases, I will share a couple of mine.

Most of my stuff was bought from Charlotte Russe.

I didn't really think I would like this polka dot dress, but I love it sooooo much. It comes above the knee and I really like the yellow belt to give it a little color. Like I said I got this from Charlotte Russe and it was $20.
I think I am going to have a lot of polka dot clothes this spring, they are just so cute!

The lipstick that I am wearing is this plumish pink color by Covergirl Queen. I don't know the name of it because it's not on it:(
It was $6 at Target.

This is another dress from Charlotte Russe. There was a deal where you buy one get one for $10. So this one was $10 yay!
It is white lace with tan underneath.
It comes above the knee also.

I got these bracelets that came together to go with my cross earring I got yesterday.
I love how they will pretty much go with anything. These are from Charlotte Russe, and the jewelry was buy two for $10.

Since the jewelry was buy two for $10 I got these.
I like the coral color and the gold edges.

Hope you enjoyed my haul:)

Sam's Haul

Hellooo cheekies!

So I went shopping again today with the family and I would like to think it was successful and I wanted to share some of the stuff I got!

I got this adorable sparrow shirt from Jcpenny for $17. I fell in love with it. Its a nice material and the back buttons up so you can expose some back. I love it and thought it was a really good price!

I really liked this shirt! I loved the simple black and white color scheme. The collar and the pocket are lace. The back is exposed and drapey. I love the back the most. The sizes run kinda big. This is a small and its kinda big so i'm glad i didn't get a medium.. so I would recommend getting a size smaller than you usually wear.
I got this from Rue 21 for $20

I also get these adorable Lilac and black polka dots headbands from Rue 21 as well. These were $6. I just loved how cute they were. I love the material as well.

These tights are from rue 21 as well. I got these for $2. I love the little hearts.

I think this is one of my favorite purchases of the day! Its a floral mullet skirt from WetsSeal. I got this for $35. The back has open parts to it. Definitely worth the price I think.

Overall I am pretty please with my items from the last couple of days that i've bought.

Stay Cheeky!
