Beach Adventure...finally.

Hello Cheekies,

Last Friday we took a cheeky adventure to the Gulf Coast. We spent seven long hours in a Toyota Highlander, dancing and by dancing we mean pelvic thrusting, talking like total Valley Girls, making very crude sexual jokes, and sleeping. So overall a pretty decent car ride. Eventually we made it to our resort.

This place was very confusing place to navigate. The parking spots weren't labeled well enough and we ended up parking in someone else's space, oops. Eventually we figured it out.
The lobby looked like the inside of a cruise ship with the way the building was shaped and the color choices. They even had a whale statue in the middle of the lobby. They had a huge water feature going from one end of the lobby sitting area to the other. The elevators were pretty much ride in themselves. It only took 2.567 seconds to get to the 11th floor which is where we stayed.
The condo had two bedrooms but not very well decorated. The balcony had a great view of the Bay.

One night we went to eat at this fancy restaurant called Cobalt. They had great food! And we got to sit by the bay!

They had this killer crab dip and Chef Salad. Don't even get us started on the cupcakes, holy shit.

Also our waiter favored Fabio and another waiter was just as yummy as the cupcakes with piercing blue eyes mmmmm, if only he could be bought...
After we ate our food we headed over to the beach and took some pictures and enjoyed the peacefulness.

Seriously this place is so stunning. How one could not be at peace here is an idiot.  But we ended up crashing two weddings that were happening on the beach we were on. And we are pretty sure we were in their pictures. Hahaha. Their pictures just improved.

Their little pergola was cute. The wedding colors weren't that spectacular but its their wedding so they can have boring colors.

The next day we went swimming in one of their many pools. They had 7 pools, three water slides, and a lazy river. It was pretty damn awesome.
 That water was cold!

We enjoyed Pina Coladas by the lazy river, and were near a huge turtle statue we named Marcel(a cookie for anyone knowing that reference). As we were enjoying the lazy river and pool, we saw some very odd couples but we will get to those pictures later. Another thing that happened at the pool was this very odd blond headed girl who looked thirty but was probably 13 wearing a blue one piece from the 90's, and she was stalking this one boy who probably weighed 60 pounds, which would equal the weight of her thigh. She told him quote "You look cute and cuddly" and after that he ran for his life. She later tried grabbing his leg! We made fun of her. Also there was a guy who looked like the Jonas Brothers' long lost older brother. We saw very many celebrity look alikes.

That night we went and ate at Wolf Bay Lodge.
Sam tried oysters, which she hated cause the texture was horrible!!!!!!  We sat outside and watched people bring the fish they caught, some people were really proud of their tiny fish. We also saw two little homeless kitties but if we were homeless kitties we would be there too, free fish bitches!
After dinner we headed back to the beach and took some pretty damn awesome pictures we might say.

We look like we are about to jump some bones, What What.

This picture is our absolute favorite!

The last night we were at the beach, it was about 11:30 pm and we were laying in bed and all of a sudden the fire alarm starts going off saying, "Please evacuate the building, do not use elevators". We were tempted to just stay in bed but eventually we got up and left the room and some Samoan lookin kid asked if we could take the elevator and we just looked at him like he was an idiot cause the alarm said to use the stairs. We then truck down eleven flights of stairs with annoying people pushing themselves through the crowds on the stairs. It also smelled like armpit. We finally make it out of the building to a huge crowd of people

We were outside for all of maybe ten minutes. We decided we should've just stayed in bed. Finally we are back in our room and we can't go to sleep. We sit on the balcony for about an hour looking at the night skyline for one last time before we left. It was sad.

We left the next morning tired, depressed, and pissed that we were going home. The time at the beach was the best few days. We had no stress, no worries, no responsibilities and we could be whoever we wanted without living with a complex. We decided then that we would live on the beach somewhere whether it's L.A. or a beach on the Gulf. Just a place where we can start over and have the peace of the beach. This is our first adventure of many adventures to come.

Let us know what you thought of our adventure!

We seriously saw this. Guy had a boner in public, classy.

Summer Hair!

Helloooo Cheekies!

How are you Lovely people on this beautiful summer day? So today I thought I would show you guys my four favorite hair styles for the summertime or whenever. I really love the boho style, I try to always incorporate bohemian hints in my style. I fell like its just so carefree and fun especially when it comes to hair because its soooo messy yet still looks amazing! Also I couldn't go without some funky color in my hair, now its purple, and I'm so in love with it. I also feel like subtle colors such as dark purples and blues add a hint of the carefree hippie boho style. Also all these hairstyles are on youtube so if you want to learn how to do any of them then search the name and bam, millions of tutorials! Okay enough rambling, here they are:

FishTale

Fish tales have become hugggeeeee in the last year, I learned to fish tale braid about two or three years ago... anyways I feel like its a timeless braid. It so different than just the standard and typical three strand braid. A tight three strand braid to me just screams, Hello I'm still in middle school, (no offense to anyone who still wears their hair like that, just how i feel) but Unlike the three strand, the fish tale can be really tight and Look so freaking classy! I love it more though when its loose and messy. Messier the better I always say.

 Large Messy Curls.

I've been doing this to my hair a lot lately, I just love the whole beachy hippie yet somewhat classy look. I just have a small curling iron nothing fancy yet I use it like one would use a wand. I do not use the clamp because in my hair it leaves a crease mark and doesn't have the same effect as it does as wrapping the hair around the barrel with your fingers. Anyways, I part my hair as usual and bring the two sides to the front and curl the hair away from my face so the front pieces frame my face. Once all curled the curls are somewhat tight, so depending on where I am at, I either use a large toothed comb or just use my fingers and brush and pull out the curls and I do NOT hair spray because my hair is so thick it tends to stay put but I love the fallen curl look, it makes the curls become more messy. Most of Us have gone somewhere with curled hair and hair spray and are to lazy to do anything when getting home from a long night so the next morning our hair ends up looking amazing? I know you guys know what I am talking about.
Fallen Curls=Gorgeous Morning Hair we all dream of!!!!

Floral Head Bands/Crowns

Floral Head Bands Are Hugeeeee now, but sadly not everyone can pull them off. I feel as though someone has to have a certain essence to pull it off, I say this because there are people who just wear things because other people are and it doesn't fit there personality or style. Usually People who can pull off floral head bands are people who incorporate Boho in their everyday style. So I'm totally not saying that you can't pull them off, not what I am saying, im talking about the people who try to hard to do a style they aren't.
Anyways, there are two different types of Floral head wear, Kylie is wearing the floral crown, a crown is as it sounds is a Halo type head piece that when not wearing it stays in the crown shape. I have the head band which is an elastic type head piece. Both of these are from the same place which is Claire's. I personally love both equally but for different reasons. Kylie's was around $10 and mine was about $7. These pieces give the hair such a elegant, shabby chic, whimsical look to an everyday style. It's one of the most absolutely perfect head accessories in my book.  They are worn around the top part of the head, it gives your hair nice teased looked without the hassle of teasing it. The elastic can also be worn as like a normal elastic head band but i found the flowers kind itchy agaisnt my neck so this will stay strictly a halo piece for me.
I love having the hair down and wearing this, it so perfect.

Foral Crown with a Twist.

One perks of an elastic is you can tuck your hair around the band with ease. This takes the already adorable look and adds a bit of class. All you have to do is tuck your hair around the head band so none of the strands stick out. This is perfect for a hot day when your hair sticks to the back of your neck *cringe*. Also if you dont feel like really spending to much time on your hair, you can do this look in about 2.56 seconds and be done and ready to go.

So Cheeky Loves, these are my four favorite summery boho, hippie peace love, but with a touch of class looks. What are some of your favorites?

"Not Your Mother's..."

Hello Cheekies,

I'm sorry its been a while since our last post. We have  been enjoying this beautiful summer. Anywho today I have a review for you guys on some amazing products I recently have tried, this is gonna be a long post, get you some food and water and enjoy my long ramblings, but trust me you want to read about this brand.

. Up until well yesterday I have only heard about this brand once or twice. I was strolling through Walmart just to kill time before I had to be somewhere, and I always go into the beauty/hair section of any store, its like I gravitate toward it. Anyways enough rambling, I was looking at different hair products to give my hair some oomph for when I go to the beach in a few weeks with Kylie, I'm just so freaking excited(anyone who gets that reference, go get yourself a cookie, you deserve it). So back to what I was saying before, I was strolling down the Isle when some tall white cans with bright colors caught my eye. It was like finding the light in the dark, no seriously most of the other products packaging were either black or dark shades but sitting on the bottom shelf was the light! I instantly went to those bottles like a moth  to light and boy am I glad I did. Those bright white and slighly colorful cans and tubes turned out to be some of the best products I have ever put in my hair which is the brand "Not Your Mother's".

So Not Your Mother's  is such an affordable brand. Most of the products were the same price but the travel size was a few cents cheaper, so why not pay about ten cents more and get a large can? Anyways none of the products were more than $6. Bargain!! I couldn't decided what items I wanted, there were like six or seven different things I wanted mostly because the names were so damn cute.
I first picked up a tall white and green can, with the name Not Your Mother's Clean Freak,

which is a dry shampoo. I have never tried dry shampoo before because mostly all the ones I have found were $10+ for a kinda small bottle and I am what you call a Cheap Ass. So I instantly decided to buy it and give it a try for two very important reasons. Reason One, I am one of those people who have the Mufasa thick, somewhat course hair that is a pain in my ass to wash, it takes forever. I can't wash my hair every day either, those with curly hair will know what I mean, nothing is worse than extremely dry curly hair *shudder*. So having a product that takes all of 0.00 seconds(also if you understand this reference get yourself another cookie!) to make your hair look clean and fresh is a God sent in my book! Reason Two, I mostly bought this product because its just so damn cute from the Brand and Product Name to the Packaging design. I'm a sucker for awesome packaging. The back of the bottle is very detailed and well, worded  cutely and it seems like your talking to someone who understands exactly how you feel, you'll see what I mean,  it says:

"I know you're busy keeping up with that social Life! So don't waste precious time in the bathroom, just use Clean Freak(tm). Get that Perfect hair (and the perfect guy) before all the other girls. Expect more room on your social calendar because the salon formula dry shampoo will have you and your hair ready for a night out on the town."
Pretty damn cute huh? It also gives a fun description on how to apply. Now since I have never used a dry shampoo I cant compare it to anything but I did read tons of reviews and not one bad thing was mentioned about it. Every single review talked about how awesome it is. Well they are all right, I tried this product this morning, and i think i have new best friend, sorry chum. This product is an aerosol so it comes out sorta like hair spray but with a scent that makes want to eat it. It smells like apple lollipops. Also my somewhat greasy hair became a fresh and lively again. Yay. while smelling like apple dum dums. Overall I say get this amazing product for a super great deal and love your fresh clean hair without the hassel and time of washing that hair of yours!

Product Number Two from Not Your Mother's that I bought was a hair curling cream with the most wrong  yet so right name its called Not Your Mother's Kinky Moves ( see what i mean, kinky)

I'll spare you my long ramblings on this one since they are pretty much the same as first product. This product smells like grapes and jasmine had a baby and named her kinky! This product is exactly what i was looking for, for my awkward part straight, part wave, part curl thing i have going currently. The back of this also worded awesomely and it's like the fairy god mother of waves/curls is telling you her secrets. it says:
"Don't Let your sad waves and curls get you all in a Knot. Kinky Moves(tm) helps encourage natural curls by giving them the extra oomph they so desperately need. It eliminates frizz and flyways to show your true locks. Infused with natural grape seed and jasmine this salon formula will add that extra bounce to your step and your hair"
Okay this adds way more than bounce, it makes your hair feel soo soft and healthy and your hair smells like spring happiness. Oh how I'm in love with it and I will never go back to a different curl cream. This doesn't make your hair greasy, so make sure you get the roots as well.
I'm gonna show you pictures with and without this product

So on the left we have my hair its flat and lifeless and my hair in the back cant decided what the hell it wants to do whether curly or wavy or straight, now on the right is after I worked some kinky moves the curls became more defined and overall became more wavy and the front is full of volume and life. Success!!!!!!

So Cheekies, I'm hoping you come into the light and get anything from this brand, its just overall perfection.

Stay Cheeky, Kinky, & Fresh!

xoxo- Sam

Find Your Style

Hello Cheekies,

Finding your own style can be very confusing since our tastes change constantly, but that's okay!
Growing up I would say my style in clothes has improved tremendously...
It's very easy to just copy others style instead of creating our own.

When creating your own style, the most important rule is to dress in things that make you FEEL COMFORTABLE!
Don't dress in clothes that other people like because then it wouldn't be your own style. When you feel comfortable you have more confidence.

I think that my style is more classy with a bit of an edge.
Some days I like to wear collared shirts and simple jewelry.

This top and shoes is from Papaya

Other days I'm feeling a bit more edgy, just depending on my mood.

This eyelashes top is also from Papaya,
shorts from Charlotte Russe
boots form Rue 21

Styles can change each day, as long as you are true to yourself and choose clothing you love and you feel good in then you can't go wrong!

A good inspiration for finding styles you like is Pinterest. I find soo many things on Pinterest that gives me inspiration to put together my own outfits and put my own twist on them.
So I encourage you to take risks in your style but stay true to who you are and what you like!!

Stay cheeky Our Loves;)

Five things to know by 20!

Hello cheekies,

Since I am turning 20 in September, I thought I would tell you all what I learned and still need to learn. Everyone should know this by the time they are twenty and starting to live in the real world.

1) embrace your dreams and passions!
We all have dreams, some big and some small, but we have to go after our dreams while we are still young! One of my dreams is a large one and it's to travel and live in LA by this time next year! I am gonna go for it because I know if I don't I will regret it one day. So going after your dreams whether it ends up successful or not will be important in your future, your dreams mold you into well you. So dreams and passions are important to know and very important to go after them!!!!! I can't stress enough GO FOR YOUR DREAMS dammit!! Do it!!!!! Don't stop chasing them and when you achieve your dream keep going!! A life of oh wells is a lot better than a life of what ifs!

2) Never worry about your future!
You are young, free and living for the moment, and If you aren't doing that then you better start! You are only young once and you deserve to be free! You will have time to worry about other shit when you are older! If you are one of those people who must have your future planned out five years in advanced and it's laid out in an outline, it's time to calm the hell down! One thing I learned in life is that life doesn't happen how you plan! It's going to take you down roads that will test you in every way! Now I used to have to have everything planned but recently I've learned that it just causes to much stress, now I'm living with the motto of "go with the flow". I'm takin each day as it comes, whether good, bad, sad or happy. So far I've been stress free, it's also very liberating!

3) change for no one but for yourself!
Please don't change yourself for anyone, whether is losing weight to fit in or get the guy. Don't change your clothes to be like that girl from school or work, don't change for anyone! They aren't always going to be there and they probably wouldn't even appreciate it! If you want to change the way you look and you want to do it for yourself, to either boost your self esteem and/or confidence then do it! But don't I repeat do not do it for anyone! Be yourself, love your self and if you don't love the way you look then learn to love every detail of yourself and if there are some things you just can't stand then change them so you can love yourself because during the processes whatever it is you will end up loving yourself! It's gonna be hard I know, trust me, I hated the way I looked, I thought I was fat so I lost weight, not for anyone but me, and yeah I'm still not to thrilled with my stomach but I still learned to love it! BE YOU, LOVE YOU!

4) learn to do things on your own!
Now we all love doing things with friends but sometimes you have to do things by yourself whether it's because a friend can't go or you just want some "me time", either way you must learn to do things yourself. It teaches independence and it gives you time to reflect on your self and your life and what you want. So if you are dying to do go to this restaurant or you want that shirt that you've been eyeing for months finally went on sale and no one can go, then go! More people do it than you think! You won't be that weirdo that does things alone I promise!

5) do not be defined by anyone!
What I mean is, don't let some mold you Into someone they want you to be! Don't let friends, or boyfriends or girl friends and especially your family, define you! They don't know you like you do! You know your dreams, you know your likes and dislikes, you know what's best for you! I've been told what I have to do in life and what I "have" to become to be successful and happy by my parents all my life. So I went through a hard time trying to figure out who I am. I am a girl who hates scratching the surface of living, a girl who dreams so big that ive been told to come back to reality, a girl who knows what I want and need in my life. I am me, and no one can take that from me or try to. It's your life, you were given it because you were meant to do great things with it and if you let someone define you, you will never fulfill your purpose!

So cheekies! I hope you learn to do these things by the time your 20, and if your already twenty or  past that please learn to do it too!

Xoxo-Sam
